Volunteers help make Rainbow Village the organization it is. With the Support of Volunteers, we’re able to keep our facility a top of the line community for our residents. Support from community volunteers also allows us to maintain a lower operating cost and allow residents to have more interaction with peers through workshops and mentorship.
We are always looking for volunteers in the following areas: Meal Preparation & Service, Adult Programming, Youth Programming Support.
Internships are also available for some of these areas as needed. Interest in becoming an intern? Click Here to view our internship opportunities.
If you’re interested in learning more about what kind of support you’d be providing in these areas, you can watch videos about each area here.
Individual Rainbow Village volunteers complete the contact form below and must register to attend an interest meeting before being eligible to signup for specific volunteer events or opportunities. Interest meetings are held quarterly.

Groups looking for one-time or short-term volunteer opportunities are welcome to get involved through a variety of meaningful experiences. Group opportunities include meal sponsorships, assisting with Fun Friday youth programming, and supporting evening programs and special events throughout the year.
Groups interested in touring Rainbow Village prior to volunteering are welcome to do so. To schedule a group tour or learn more about available opportunities, please contact Olivia Sheridan at osheridan@rainbowvillage.org.
Neighboring Volunteer Program (Group Mentorship)
The Neighboring Volunteer Program is a year-long commitment designed for groups or organizations interested in walking alongside a Rainbow Village alumni family as they transition into independent housing. Neighboring Volunteers provide encouragement, connection, and practical support through regular check-ins, relationship-building, and shared experiences.
This program includes required training, ongoing support from Rainbow Village staff, and scheduled touchpoints throughout the year. It is ideal for groups seeking a deeper, relationship-based volunteer experience with long-term impact.
Groups interested in becoming Neighboring Volunteers can attend a Neighboring Volunteer Interest Meeting to learn more about the commitment and next steps.
